Pandit is an author, meditation teacher, inspirational speaker, and lecturer at Columbia University. He has spoken at a TEDx conference and has been featured on PBS, NPR, NY Times, and writes for the Huffington Post. In his book, Urban Monk: Exploring Karma, Consciousness and the Divine, Pandit writes about how he learned to deal with and overcome the loss of his family’s multi-million dollar fortunes that left him and his family with next to nothing. These life experiences have given Pandit profound insight into the human experience. Pandit uses his life experience and decades of in-depth studies to assist people in overcoming the various stress factors in their own lives.

Amrita Rathi is a first year Masters Candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Teachers College, Columbia University, with interests in the fields of spirituality and psychotherapy. She is from Mumbai, India, and she is here as an international student at TC. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, listening to music, meeting new people, taking walks through parks, catching up on good movies and playing with animals.


Noémie Le Pertel

Noemie HeadshotNoémie Le Pertel holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Psychology with Human Biology, a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and is licensed as an acupuncturist and massage therapist by New York State. Noémie currently works as a clinical research coordinator at Columbia University’s Center for Family and Community Medicine and is an acupuncture fellow at Beth Israel-Mount Sinai Hospital. She also holds a private practice where she treats patients and consults organizations on wellness and leadership, integrating yoga, meditation, and qi gong in the context of mind-body medicine and health.

Noémie is currently an MPH candidate in Health Policy and Management at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health where she serves as President of Students for the Promotion of Integrative Medicine. In her free time, Noémie is taking graduate health and wellness courses at Harvard University’s School of Extension Studies, is a graduate teaching assistant at Columbia Business School, and enjoys eating great food and spending time with her family and friends who inspire her!
